Android Apps, Python Bits and General Meanderings
I've moved the FlamingLunchbox blog over to http://blog.flaminglunchbox.net . More freedom... and I can include feeds!
Chat Room: Nothing new to report from the irc. Make sure to stop by if you have a question or just want to see what we’re up to. Join us at irc.freenode.net, channel: #flaminglunchbox.
Next Week: More work with text rendering and layout. We will also be continuing to discuss name ideas in Google Groups.
Our Kickstarter project is now fully underway. We are currently determining the best method of loading fonts onto the GPU and figuring out a shader to display text with. At the moment arbitrary fonts, including any webfonts, can be used. Currently we are working on syntax highlighting, trying to determine whether to use grammars or regular expressions to implement syntax highlighting.
We've had several visitors in both the irc chatroom and at our forum. In case you're interested in visiting us you can join us at:

Next Week: We will be working more on the shader, in our attempt to offload as much as possible onto the GPU.
Thanks to your support we’ll be able to devote the necessary time and resources to creating this software. We’ll also be able to continue development of our other projects in the time remaining. Here is a picture of us celebrating!
Here is a picture of our cats celebrating!
Suffice it to say they were not excited, they really couldn’t have cared less. We did attempt to ‘get’ them excited, but they weren’t to happy about that either. If you haven’t been to the site recently, here are the final results.
Thanks again everyone!
Getting these things first requires being able to instantly recognize
the relevance of the numbers being presented. My background being in
mathematics I was looking for patterns at first and was confused why
there was a negative 178 (obviously outside of the range for a signed
byte!). Ah, well. Instead I wrote a spreadsheet to solve the thing.
It should serve as a good guide to understand the steps necessary to
solve challenge number 5.
I have an issue with the solution... that being that it is case sensitive when the country codes themselves are not.
